Preschool/Kindergarten Lead Teacher Position
The Front Range Waldorf School, in beautiful Lakewood, CO, is searching for an experienced Kindergarten Lead Teacher, for the 2010-2011 school year. This is a pioneering school which has quite an extensive historical biography. This job would provide you with unique opportunities as it is a one-teacher school allowing you to really take the lead. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong love of working with young children, Waldorf Early Childhood training and experience in a Waldorf Early Childhood program, and the ability to work well in a collegial setting. Because Front Range is a stand-alone early childhood program, a Colorado Director’s Credential, or its equivalent, is essential. We are looking for an individual who, with assistance, can not only lead the teaching, but also serve as a leader in our community. As our preschool/kindergarten program is often a parent’s first introduction to Waldorf education, the ability to communicate clearly and regularly with parents is an ideal skill for this position. Our “sister school,” the Denver Waldorf School, is only 20 minutes away and has offered its resources to our school in order to serve the western Colorado Community.Opportunities for ongoing professional development are strongly supported and encouraged throughout the school year.
